Firstly; HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I have positive energy for 2018 and we all need to believe it’s going to be a good one, 2016/7 was complete shite.
This past weekend we decided to move away from chilling at home and braaing with friends (which is always fun) and opted to get out a bit and revisit places we used in to the past.
Sunday we hit the Bay Harbour Market in Hout Bay – not my First time, however, I thought I’d share this gem with ya’ll. Situated down the road from Mariners Wharf this little is market screaming for attention with a vibe to die for.
The market has SO much to offer; art, vinyl music, jewellery, decor, live music, clothing and most importantly FOOD! We shared a plate of dim sum and Claud opted for oysters (not really my favourite). The delightful lady at the Seabar gave us an awesome tip; she was selling her oysters for R 25.00 each – very decent in size but she told us at Mariners Wharf Fish Market you can purchase oysters for R 12.50 each, we probably took about 15 home of which I ate 2 – diaries of a weak stomach.
Outside the marketplace, there are chic photo, and sculpture galleries as well as Sinful icecream. If you looking for a cool place to visit and a scenic drive to go along with it, the Bay Harbour Market is definitely a superb option.
Trading hours:
Friday – 17:00 – 21:00

Have a wonderful day!
Love
