Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing wonderfully and persevering through the last stretch of the year. A few months back I had the opportunity to visit Surval Boutique Olive Estate in Oudtshoorn. Oudtshoorn itself has SO MUCH to offer for a quick shot left in the Western Cape.
Surval Boutique Olive Estate is located on a working olive farm and olive tastings and tours can be arranged by the establishment. The property is set in a beautiful location with sweeping views of the Schoemanshoek Valley and Swartberg Mountain Range.
The rooms on offer at Surval are elegantly decorated and spacious offering air-conditioning (much needed in Oudsthoorn ), DSTV, free Wifi, crisp linens and a truly South African feeling.
Surval Estate has a comprehensive and refined selection of wines available at their restaurant, Su Casa, and has won many prestigious awards such as the Chaine des Rotisseurs – offered by the International Association of Gastronomy. The restaurant offers breakfast and dinner, the views experienced while eating breakfast was something straight out of a magazine.
Activities available at Surval include olive tastings, boat rides, 2 swimming pools, walking trails, mountain biking, bird watching as well as an on-site play area for children. During the summer months, Surval also sets up a big screen for a “movie under the stars” feeling on their perfectly manicured lawn.
Surval Boutique Olive Estate has a 200 seater chapel on the property, perfect for weddings as well as a large reception area which can accommodate up to 300 guests.
Next chance you have to visit Oudtshoorn I would definitely recommend this property for your stay 🙂
